There has really only been one important thing missing with my setup of servers. KVM switching.

I found a warning sign at work which was about to be thrown away. I put it on the door to my wicked datacenter instead.

For a long time I’ve had a rack mountable cooling unit lying around. It turned out to be pretty nice.

Previous unfortunate events led me to buy some new servers, which now have been mounted in the rack enclosure.

I got some new servers incoming and I figured that it was time to get those rails mounted.

Until recently I haven’t been able to close the front door of the rack enclosure. This is no longer a problem.

Noise. Noise. Noise. Fans. Hard drives. Darn it. What to do?

For a long time I’ve been planning to get some form of air conditioning going. Installing such a system would however not be very easy. It was necessary to find an alternative solution.

With last week’s preparations of the spare room, the rack enclosure has finally got a new home.
