I had a socket 1156 system running as a server. I also had such a system running as my desktop PC. Since I just recently got a new desktop PC I figured that I would use the old desktop system as a server as well.
I got some new servers incoming and I figured that it was time to get those rails mounted.
Until recently I haven’t been able to close the front door of the rack enclosure. This is no longer a problem.

For a long time I’ve been planning to get some form of air conditioning going. Installing such a system would however not be very easy. It was necessary to find an alternative solution.
With last week’s preparations of the spare room, the rack enclosure has finally got a new home.
My wall mounted patch panel had to be moved a bit closer to where the rear side of the rack enclosure was supposed to be at. Successfully accomplished.
I’ve mounted stuff in the rack enclosure. Yay.
Cables are often ugly. They become even more ugly when they’re not perfectly in place. Why I even bothered doing something about it this time, however, I’m not so sure about.
